DUBLIN, Ireland. December 2 (PSN) – The official draw for UEFA EURO 2020 qualifying groups took place in Dublin on Sunday.
Being drawn as one of the team from Pot 1, Poland found itself drawn to Group G alongside with Austria, Israel, Slovenia, Macedonia and Latvia.
For the qualifiers, a total of 55 national teams will compete, all of which were drawn to ten groups – five five-team groups (A-E) and five groups with six teams (F-J). The two best teams from each group will advance to the final tournament that will take place within 12 different countries in Europe. The remaining four finalists will be selected to play in the play-offs.
Jerzy Brzeczek, who will lead Poland in the qualifiers and will start the qualifying campaign with an away trip to Austria in late March.
