WARSAW, Poland. Oct 1 (PSN) – Polish national team coach Jerzy Brzeczek announced on Monday his called up team for the upcoming matches for UEFA EURO 2020 qualifying against Latvia and Macedonia.
The first match will take place on October 10 in Riga with Latvia, while the second one three days later in Warsaw against North Macedonia.
In terms of Ekstraklasa players, this international week will only see two players from Poland feature in the national team camp. Artur Jedrzejczyk and Radoslaw Majecki, both from Legia Warsaw. With Lukasz Fabianski out because of injury, rookie goalkeeper Majecki has been given his first call-up to the senior team. The 19-year-old had become Legia’s first choice netminder since the latter half of last season after consistent good performances.
Update: Due to a last minute injury, Karol Linetty has been replaced on the squad with Wisla Plock’s Dominik Furman.
