PARIS, France. June 15 (PSN) – On Thursday the Poland national team will face Germany at the Stade de France in their second match of the UEFA EURO 2016 group stage.
Bialo-czerwoni manager Adam Nawalka confirmed today that goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny will not play on Thursday.
“There is no chance that Wojciech Szczesny will play. Tomorrow I will announce my starting team. We are well prepared for the match with Germany.” said Adam Nawalka at a press conference.
“We want to play a match according to our strategy. We have a concrete plan. We believe in our abilities. – every game is a new challenge.”
Swansea goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski is the favourite to replace Szczesny in goal.
Fabianski was touted as the number one for Poland going into the tournament before losing his spot in the pre-tournament exhibitions.
