WARSAW, Poland. September 4 (PSN) – Poland have rebounded from their loss on Friday and have defeated Kazakhstan 3:0 on Monday in FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifying.

Final score: Poland – Kazakhstan 3:0

After eight qualifying rounds now gone by for the World Cup in Russia, the Poland national football team now has 19 points on their account. This is thanks to Monday night, where the bialo-czerwoni beat Kazakhstan at the PGE Narodowy in Warsaw. As a result, the Polish team still remains the leader of its group E qualifying group.

With three roster changes since the game with Denmark, the Poles looked like an improved team and that meant damage to be done against the Kazakhs. What is worth noting is that the Polish team returned to it’s usual 4-4-2 formation, with Robert Lewandowski playing up top with Arkadiusz Milik. This formation proved to be the winning formula.

Goals from Arkadiusz Milik, Kamil Glik and Robert Lewandowski allowed the Poles to end the day with a clean 3:0 win over Kazakhstan with 3 important points in hand. In addition, it also has to be stated that one of Lewandowski’s free kicks should had been a goal as well, but due to an assistant referee error it was not counted.
