WARSAW, Poland. August 26 (PSN) – Poland Selekcjoner Adam Nawalka announced the names of the 28 players who have been called up for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifiers.
The bialo-czerwoni will play Denmark (1 September) and Kazakhstan (4 September) in their next qualifiers.
Possible international senior debutantes may be Jan Bednarek (Southamption), Tomasz Kedziora (Dynamo Kyiv), or Maciej Makuszewski (Lech Poznan), who all obtained their very first call-ups.
Poland lead their FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifying group with 16 points in 6 games, which may allow Nawalka some breathing room to potentially experiment with these new rookie players.
One noticeable player whom was left out is Grzegorz Krychowiak, one of Poland’s most pivotal players from UEFA EURO 2016. Since transferring to PSG last summer, the defensive midfielder failed to break into the French outfit’s first team and as a result has seen his form greatly decline.
By not including Krychowiak in the latest call-up list, Nawalka is trying to send a message to the 27-year-old – either to get his act together or find a new club.
